Here you are a short speach about our holidays in Girona.
Last summer I went to Girona with my boyfriend, we drove to Girona in our car, 4-5 hours driving, we were very tired.
We spent one week in August, we rented a little rural house in the countryside, and there were five independent houses in the rural area. Our house was the smallest of all, the owner told us that the house was a castle, many years ago, and had a prison where were prisoners for months, our little house was the prison, but now they reformed it. They investigated the castle story and told it to people who rent the houses.
First day there, we went to visit Girona centre. First of all we went to tourist info and took maps and important information of the city. We visited the cathedral, the Jewish district, castle, etc. It was very sunny and hot. We walked around the city and the last day we decided to take the tourist train, where there was a guide who explained us all about the history of the city and show us the best places.
Other day, we drove to Figueres, 80 km from Girona north. We visited the city centre and the most important Museum of Dali; we had to wait two hours to enter. That’s wonderful and different, I think that was the best museum that I’ve never seen.
The third day, we went to the beach at “Platja D’Haro”, a very touristy city in the coast of Girona, there very a lot of people. The weather wasn’t good, it was windy, and we couldn’t stay any time on the beach.
Every day in the evening we swam in the swimming pool in the garden of the rural house.
We enjoyed a lot in Girona, I recommend these places to my friends, because people are very charming with us.
Now we are looking forward for going to Barcelona.
